Thinning:

• For spray application, No.5 Antifouling does not normally require any thinning, except possibly in hot windy conditions..
• For brush/roller application, additional judicious thinning may be required.

• Drying Times (at 25°C / 50% RH):

  • Recoat: Min 4 hours

• Shelf Life: 24 months (unopened, stored cool & dry)

• Over New Surfaces: Use with AY&B Epoxy Primer or Epoxy Barrier Undercoat.

• Over Existing Coatings: Compatible with most copper-based antifoulings. Use AY&B PrimaShield or MultiPurpose Primer for unknown surfaces or repairs.

• Surface Must Be: Clean, dry, and free from contaminants. High-pressure water cleaning and sanding recommended.

• Mix Thoroughly: High cuprous oxide content may settle—ensure full mixing before and during use.

• Spray Equipment: Heavy-duty airless preferred. Air or roller application also suitable with attention to film build.

• Thinner/Clean Up: Altex Thinning Solvent #130

• Colours may vary slightly between batches and may change over time when stored—box different batches together before use.

• Full colour develops after a few weeks of immersion.

• Do not apply to aluminium surfaces.

• Film thickness is critical—service life directly depends on correct application.

• Flammable. Use in well-ventilated areas, away from open flames.

• Wear protective gloves, eye/face protection, and avoid breathing vapours or spray.
