Bla Drum Winches

Shop anchor drum winches online at Smart Marine, from Lone Star, Viper and SavWinch. A drum winch stores your anchor rope and chain on a drum mounted on the bow, so there's no chain locker needed. That makes it a popular choice for trailer boats, and you can set and retrieve your anchor at the push of a button.

Choosing a drum winch. Each winch is rated for a maximum boat length. Our range covers everything from compact winches for boats up to 6m, like the Lone Star GX1 and Viper Pro Micro 1000, through the popular GX2 and GX3 for boats up to 7–10m, to the GX4, and the 24V Charter GX5 and GX6 for boats up to 15m and 20m+. Choose a complete package with rope, chain and accessories ready to go, or a kit-only winch if you already have your rode. Backing plates and replacement drum winch rope are also available.

Complete your anchoring setup with anchors, bow rollers, chain and anchoring hardware and anchor winch accessories, and protect your wiring with the right circuit breaker. For larger boats with a chain locker, see our horizontal and vertical anchor winches.
