Lowrance NAC-1 Autopilot Computer – 000-11769-001
The Lowrance NAC-1 Autopilot Computer is the central control unit of a compatible Lowrance autopilot system, containing the electronics required to operate the steering drive and interface with other key autopilot components.
Designed for hydraulic or cable-steered boats up to 9 metres (30 feet), the NAC-1 works with compatible Lowrance displays to provide a fully integrated autopilot solution. It is designed to operate either the PUMP-1 reversible hydraulic pump for hydraulic-steered outboards or the HELM-1 drive unit for cable-steered vessels.

Hydraulic & Cable Steering Compatibility
The NAC-1 is specifically designed to support two steering configurations:
- Hydraulic Steering: Compatible with the Lowrance PUMP-1 reversible hydraulic pump for hydraulic-steered outboards
- Cable Steering: Compatible with the Lowrance HELM-1 drive unit for cable-steered vessels
The appropriate steering drive components are required separately depending on your boat’s steering system.
Virtual Rudder Feedback
Lowrance Virtual Rudder Feedback (VRF) technology can eliminate the need to install a separate physical rudder feedback unit on suitable outboard and sterndrive (inboard/outboard) boats with planing hulls.
This can simplify the autopilot installation where fitting a physical feedback unit is impractical due to mechanical constraints.
The NAC-1 also supports RF25 rudder feedback units when physical rudder feedback is required.
