The Maxwell RC12-10 with Capstan is the flagship of Maxwell’s RC Series — a fully automatic rope/chain windlass engineered for boats that demand strength, speed, and absolute reliability. Built from AISI 316 marine-grade stainless steel and designed for 10 mm short-link chain and 16–20 mm nylon rope, it delivers exceptional performance in all anchoring conditions.
The capstan version adds a fluted stainless-steel drum, giving you independent rope-handling capability for mooring, docking, or on-deck utility tasks. Smooth, controlled operation comes standard thanks to Maxwell’s double cone clutch (with Free Fall) and the patented Wave Design™ chainwheel.
