Daiwa Bait Junkie 7" Jerkshad: Servo Squid #97 (NZ Exclusive to Smart Marine)
The biggest bait in the original Bait Junkie line-up. This NZ exclusive to Smart Marine has a segmented body and vertical fluke tail that swim with an “S” wave motion. It works on the drop and on a straight retrieve, which suits fast-moving pelagics.
Key Features:
NZ Exclusive to Smart Marine: Servo Squid is available in New Zealand only through Smart Marine.
Segmented Body & Vertical Fluke Tail: Combine to give a swimming action that Daiwa describes as like no other. The longer body and extra mass push the “S” wave motion further than the 5" version.
Swims on the Drop: Rigged on a traditional jighead, the 7" Jerkshad swims as it sinks, and a lot of strikes come at this stage.
Tracks Straight & True: On a straight retrieve the tail moves like a snake through the water, so the bait runs straight, which is a big advantage when chasing fast-moving pelagic species.
Belly Slit for Weedless Rigging: Makes weedless rigging easy and opens up plenty of uses for a versatile bait.
Servo Squid Colour (#97): A natural squid-inspired colour from the Bait Junkie UV Reveal range.
4 Pieces Per Pack: Four of the largest bait in the range.

Why It Works:
The 7" Jerkshad puts more body and more swim action in front of big fish. The segmented body and vertical tail kick with an “S” wave on the drop, which is when plenty of fish strike, and the tail then snakes through the water on the retrieve without the bait rolling or tracking off line. Servo Squid gives it a natural squid profile in a colour you can only get through Smart Marine in New Zealand.
