Developed around renowned tuna angler Ichiro Sato's "bend and catch" fighting philosophy, its carefully tuned blank combines a flexible taper with powerful recovery to maintain pressure throughout demanding fights. The 84-6 pairs a responsive tip with substantial butt power, delivering the casting distance and lure control required when targeting fast-moving fish with topwater lures and sinking stickbaits.
Advanced Daiwa blank technology combines with lightweight Fuji Titanium guides and a Fuji reel seat to deliver strength, control and dependable performance for serious offshore casting.

HVF CARBON
High-density carbon construction uses a reduced amount of resin and a greater concentration of carbon fibres, creating a strong, powerful blank particularly suited to rods where strength and resilience are important.
X45X FULL SHIELD
A 45-degree carbon bias layer reinforces the blank from the outermost layer, significantly increasing torsional rigidity. This reduces blank twist during casting, lure work, hook setting and fighting fish.
V-JOINT ALPHA
Uses high-strength Nanoalloy material and Daiwa precision manufacturing at the joint, producing a connection that is stronger, lighter and bends more smoothly than the standard V-Joint system.
