"LUNAMIS", which has been pursuing ultra-light weight and sharpness, has evolved further with advanced technology.
Based on the light and strong "SPIRAL X CORE", "CARBON MONOCOQUE", which further reduces weight, has a new edge shape with excellent gripping performance. "X GUIDE" is placed in the right places on the spinning models to achieve excellent casting performance.
The lineup includes a wide variety of items from L to MH power that can handle everything from lightweight plugs to jigs in excess of 50g. The wide range of lengths allows the lure to be used in a wide variety of situations, from near- to mid-range in rivers and harbors to long-range on embankments and rocky shore.
Effective for targeting a variety of species, including seabass, flounder, bluefish, and migratory fish.
Technologies:
SPIRAL X CORE
Shimano's advanced blank construction combines Spiral X carbon-tape construction with Toray Nanoalloy® technology. It increases torsional and compression rigidity, creating a lightweight, strong and responsive blank with excellent resistance to twisting and crushing.
CARBON MONOCOQUE
A hollow carbon-moulded rear grip eliminates unnecessary material to reduce weight and improve vibration transmission. Shimano states it provides 30% greater sensitivity than traditional rod handles, helping transmit subtle lure and fish movements directly to the angler's hand.
HI-POWER X
Diagonally wrapped carbon tape forms an X-pattern around the blank's outer layer. This suppresses blank twisting during casting and fighting fish, improving strength, responsiveness and rod control.
CI4+
Shimano's lightweight carbon-fibre-reinforced material offers increased rigidity while reducing component size and weight. On rods, Shimano uses CI4+ technology in components such as reel seats to provide a lightweight yet rigid connection.
