The Simrad NAC-2 Autopilot Computer is the core of a compatible Simrad autopilot system, containing the electronics required to operate the steering drive and interface with key autopilot components.

Designed for boats up to 10 metres (35 feet), the NAC-2 is suitable for low-current hydraulic steering pumps, mechanical drive units, hydraulic linear drives and solenoid valves. It combines reliable Continuum Steering technology with NMEA 2000® connectivity and flexible rudder feedback options for straightforward integration into a compatible marine electronics system.

For suitable outboard and sterndrive planing boats, Simrad’s Virtual Rudder Feedback (VRF) technology can eliminate the need for a separate physical rudder feedback sensor, helping simplify installation.

Drive Compatibility

The NAC-2 is designed for compatible lower-current steering drive systems. Simrad specifically lists compatibility with examples including:
