Featuring our fast gear access sideplate, any angler can service their gears and ht-100™ drag system quickly and efficiently. The penn live spindle design offers long, effortless casts, while the power gear ratios (select models only) give ultimate torque for winching up deep fish. Magnetic casting brake available on 12 and 15 sizes only.

The Rod:
Penn Battalion II Slow Pitch Rods are made for the popular slow pitch jigging technique that's used widely across the US. These rods feature a rolled composite core with outer layers of longitudinal glass construction for a thin and lightweight blank. The blanks flex from grip to tip distributing weight. Parabolic rods that offer everything an angler is looking for in a jigging rod from balance to recoil. The ideal rods for working jigs in bottom structures and offshore wrecks and inshore bays.
